BosBros develops the animated children’s series Huggleboo, a contemporary, colorful series for children aged 4-7 years about  the four-and-a-half-year-old, quirky girl Huggleboo. She experiences her own little adventures in and around the house, where this red-haired toddler lives with her mom, dad and her new baby sister Elisabeth. Together with her doll Flut, Huggleboo goes on her own adventures, which seem to be quite ordinary, but to her very special.

Huggleboo is based on Burny Bos’s children’s book series Knofje, which in 2001 also featured the homonymous television series broadcast by the KRO on Zappelin. Since 2014, the series has also been seen digitally at the major VOD platforms. On YouTube, Knofje achieved over a million views. Since the launch of the series in 2001 to date, the series is awarded and repeated annually by the KRO. With this, Knofje is known by many generations of parents and children for over 15 years.

In collaboration with Submarine, Walking The Dog and Traumhaus Studios, we’ve developed this contemporary animation version. The first season of the TV series released in The Netherlands December 2018, and the second season release Summer 2019.
