BosBros is the producer of the family feature film Where is Winky’s Horse? A sequel to the successful feature film Winky’s Horse, based on the children’s book by Tamara Bos. Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholas) has gone back to Spain. He won’t be back until next year. In the meantime, Winky takes care of his horse Amerigo. She takes riding lessons on a pony called Naf-Naf, and Aunty Cor and Uncle Siem teach her everything they know about horse grooming.
Winky loves riding Naf-Naf, but it’s still not the same as riding Amerigo. Unfortunately, Uncle Siem and Aunty Cor won’t let her, because they think the horse is way too big for Winky. She finds this hard to accept. At home, there is a surprise for Winky: her mother is pregnant. Winky likes the idea of getting a baby sister or brother, but finds it difficult as well. Things get extra complicated when her mother is admitted to hospital due to high blood pressure. Winky feels left alone, but knows exactly where to go: Amerigo. She really wants to ride him!
One day, when there is no one at the farm, Winky does something very naughty, with terrible consequences: Amerigo escapes. Winky bikes into the dunes, trying to find the horse, but he’s gone. How can she fix this?
Where is Winky’s Horse, has also been broadcast as 4-piece television series by AVROTROS, 4 x 24 minutes per episode.
